It seems to me that most individuals over the age of 30 have run into some kind of depression. I believe that depression and sadness are different. Sadness is something we experience often, and is very normal! Depression is deeper, and takes a tight hold of the person. Depression has an effect on everything we do, it doesn’t always stay for a long time, but it can, and it can be very hard to work with. I work with individuals to understand their depression, to get to know it, and to learn how to work with it to feel better.
Depression is stagnancy, a full halt, a resistance to something. When I work with you we will work to understand why the resistance is there, and where the stagnancy comes from. We will work on your relationship with your whole self, even the parts of yourself you might be scared of. Every part of you will be welcomed into the therapeutic space. I will help you feel comfortable and provide a non-judgmental space for you to start to understand yourself, and to get curious about yourself!
You are an amazing unique human! I would be honored to help you on your journey.
